User can copy a file present in one folder of Folders & files module into another folder or same folder in Folders & files module.

  • Single-click on a file to select it and then click [More options] menu button and on the opened up menu click ‘Copy files’ option.

The ‘Copy’ popup screen will appear.

  • Click on a folder where you would like to copy the file, to select that folder as the destination folder where the copied file will be placed.

User can click the ’Search’ button to open the ‘Search’ textbox where they can enter the folder name where the selected folders or files will be copied.

 

Screenshot below displays the ‘Search’ textbox with keyword ‘Project’:

For example, user enters the keyword ‘Project’ and the application will fetch the all the folders which have their names partially or fully matching the entered keyword.

  • After selecting the destination folder, click [Copy] button to copy the selected file in the destination folder.

Screenshot below displays the copied file in the destination folder (screenshot shown below shows file copied in the same folder i.e. target & destination folder are same):

If a file is copied within the same folder where the source file is present then a prefix “-Copy(1)” is added after the file name. For example, a file named as A2.3 Plans.pdf is copied inside the same folder where the original file exists, then the name assigned to the copied file is A2.3 Plans-Copy(1).pdf to differentiate it from the original file.
