File/Folder Uploading
The Document Management System (DMS) provides a straightforward and efficient method for uploading files and folders. You have the option to either drag and drop files or folders directly from your local storage into the DMS home screen, or to upload them by clicking on the [+Add] button.
For the drag-and-drop functionality, you should first select the desired files or folders. Then, by dragging them to the DMS home screen and releasing (dropping them), the upload process begins. Following the drop action, a notification window will appear at the bottom left corner of the screen. This notification provides details about the upload, including the number of files being uploaded, their upload status, and the destination folder path within the DMS where the files are being stored.
To upload folder(s)/file(s), click on the respective option under “Upload” heading to upload multiple folders/files from the local system.
When you click the ‘File’ option, the ‘Open’ window of local storage will appear showing all the local files which user can select and then click the [Open] button to upload those selected files inside the destination folder.
However, when you click the ‘Folder’ option, the ‘Select Folder’ window of local storage will appear showing all the folders which you can select and then click the [Upload] button to upload those selected folders (along with its contents) inside the destination folder.
Screenshot below shows the folder upload window:
Once you click on the [Upload] button, a pop-up window is displayed at the bottom right corner of the screen showing the upload status along with the no. of files being uploaded and the destination folder path where the files are getting uploaded.

You can click on the button to reach the location where the files are uploaded.
After a file is uploaded or a folder is created/uploaded, that fresh file or folder should appear at the top of the file or folder list – after refresh of the screen or after moving away and then returning to the list, that new file or folder should appear sorted in alphameric order or whatever order you had selected for that list. This will be done for Forms, Folders & Files, Equipment list, Building.
In the uploading screen of folder & files,
- While files are getting uploaded, the size of the files is shown in integer format and not in decimal. E.g., file size 2.06 MB will be shown as 2 MB.
- Instead of the text "Root" at the top of the uploading screen, the text "Home" will be shown.
- After the uploading process is completed, the upload bubble will be visible in the screen on the lower right corner until & unless the customers click somewhere on the screen. Once the customers click somewhere on the screen the upload bubble will disappear.
Note: Album module migration – A sub-folder will be created inside the Folders & Files module inside of which all the Gallery folders & photos will be migrated. If the migrated account does not have any Album, then no sub-folder will be created within the Folders & Files module.
